Pro Shop construction – April Update
We’re aware many of you have been eagerly following the progress of our new Pro Shop, and with that excitement has come a fair question: what’s taking so long?
Well, this Pro Shop has been a long time coming. While the current plans were finalized in 2024, the vision for this space is 10+ years in the making. Mill Road Acres Golf Course has been proudly family-owned and operated for over 40 years. When Jay and Gloria Jevons first took over the course, it was a simple 9-hole layout. Since then, they’ve grown it into what you see today - adding the back 9, upgrading the restaurant and deck, building the driving range, and now… the final piece: a new Pro Shop.

An update on our progress
So… why is it taking longer than anticipated? The short answer is: we’re building it ourselves.
Unlike large-scale developments with sizeable contractor teams and fixed timelines, this project is being delivered by a small, dedicated crew. As a family-run business, we simply don’t have the resources to accelerate the build with a large external workforce.
Instead, we’ve taken a considered, steady approach – focusing on doing things properly and building something that will stand the test of time.
As we look forward to bringing you this new facility, one of our core priorities is ensuring Mill Road Acres remains an affordable, accessible course for our community. We continue to benchmark against other public courses in the region and are committed to offering fair and competitive rates.
What’s coming
The new Pro Shop is designed to be more than just a place to check in. It’s a space for the community to connect, hang out, and enjoy golf year-round.
It will include:
Three golf simulators
A dedicated retail space
Improved customer flow and check-in area
New restroom facilities

We know the current setup (especially the small shed out front) may look a little out of place alongside the new build. But behind it is a committed, hands-on team working day in and day out to bring this vision to life.
